Workshop mods not downloading starbound
· Aug 3, @ am. Workshop mods won't load. I have subscribed to loads of mods but none of them are in my game and when I click the cog icon in the courner of the main menu no mods are installed, also I can't use the internet on the steam overlay, it just goes black when I click the button to go on the internet. Been using bltadwin.ru to download the mods manually and then using the asset_unpacker that comes with the game to unpack the 'bltadwin.ru' file to put it into the mods folder. Never seen the "missing downloaded files" before so you may just have to . Once you have started a session and have an instance of Steam launched, make sure you install the game you want to play (Unturned or Starbound). Once installed, the mods should start downloading. Do note that you will need to do this each and every time you want to launch a game with Steam Workshop mods. Hope this helps:) Tried that, won't work.
I'm subscribed to my own mod, but it's not in the mods folder, so it doesn't do anything. However, it shows in the asset viewer. EDIT: I figured out what's happening. The window is being created before the mod is loaded. The load order is mods in mods folder - create window - mods in workshop folder. That's not how it should be. Some mods, like fracking races and big iron novakid ship, don't appear in game. I used the steam workshop and when I try to download the mods it says "missing downloaded files." Is there any way to fix this? I have already tried to download the mods mentioned separately, to see if compatibility was an issue, and it wasn't. Starbound mods add and modify existing features within Starbound. These mods can include changes such as new game mechanics, ships, NPCs, game improvements, and much, much more! To add Starbound mods on your server, begin by downloading those mods.
